Job Description

Short-Term Responsibilities (Global New Product Launch)
​Project Leadership
Take charge of the global new product launch project from the plant operation perspective, developing and implementing a detailed project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, supply chain, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of all aspects related to the new product launch.
​Process Setup and Optimization
Design and establish the production processes and work instructions specifically for the new product, ensuring that they adhere to the quality standards and are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct testing and validation runs to identify and resolve any potential production issues prior to full-scale production, and work closely with the quality team to ensure the product meets all specifications and regulatory requirements.
​Supply Chain Coordination
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components required for the new product production. Manage supplier relationships, monitor inventory levels, and implement effective inventory control systems to avoid disruptions in the production schedule.

Long-Term Responsibilities (Plant Operation Management)
​Team Leadership and Development
Lead a sizable team of plant operators, supervisors, and other support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to ensure they meet and exceed job expectations.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. Identify and develop potential talent within the team to fill future leadership roles.
​Production Planning and Scheduling
Develop and execute long-term and short-term production plans based on sales forecasts, market demand, and inventory levels. Ensure efficient utilization of plant resources, including equipment, manpower, and materials, to meet production targets with minimum cost and maximum quality.
Monitor and control the production schedule, addressing any deviations or bottlenecks promptly to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in plant operations management, preferably with exposure to global product launches.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve challenging goals.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of effectively resolving complex operational issues.
In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality management systems, supply chain management, and safety and environmental regulations.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools, such as ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems, and data analysis tools.
