Job Description

Operational Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless operation and meet production targets.
Quality Management:
Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness among plant employees.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, creating a safe and healthy work environment for employees.
Develop and implement safety training programs to enhance employee awareness and minimize accidents.
Oversee regular safety inspections and incident investigations to prevent future occurrences.
Cost Management:
Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings through process optimization, waste reduction, and supply chain management.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost efficiency and productivity.
People Management:
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of plant managers, supervisors, and operators.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans for plant personnel.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve overall plant efficiency.
Implement Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies to reduce variability and improve product quality.
Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, incorporating innovative practices into plant operations as appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing facilities and driving operational excellence.
Skills:
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools, such as ERP, MES, and lean manufacturing techniques.
Certifications:
Certifications in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies are preferred.
