This role will also handle crisis management, speech writing and preparation for C-level executives, as well as some corporate social responsibility (CSR) communications work. The position will serve as the primary liaison between the company and media outlets, proactively pitching stories, managing media inquiries, and coordinating press interviews and events.Develop and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy to support the company's overall communications objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts in Hong Kong, China and international marketsDevelop and execute crisis communications plans to manage reputational risksPrepare speeches, talking points, and other content for C-level executivesContribute to the development and implementation of the company's CSR communications initiativesIdentify and pitch newsworthy stories and company announcements to the mediaCoordinate press conferences, media interviews, and other media-facing eventsManage the flow of information and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional mannerOversee the creation of press releases, media kits, and other external-facing collateralMonitor media coverage and provide regular reporting and analysis to the leadership teamLead a small team of communications professionals and provide guidance on media relations activitiesThe Successful ApplicantMinimum 10-12 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and media relations, with a proven track record of successA bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate communications or related disciplinePrior work experience as a reporter or journalist is an advantageFluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), both written and spokenDemonstrated expertise in crisis management and executive communicationsSome experience in developing and executing CSR communications programs is an advantageExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsHas strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExperience leading and mentoring a small team of communications professionals of minimum 3-5 yearsWhat's on OfferThis is a golden opportunity to work for a leading conglomerate in HK.
