Job Description

As a Macro Research Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct in-depth research on economic conditions, political developments, and policy changes in developed markets and emerging Asia.
  • Develop insights into key market trends (Rates/FX) using both fundamental and technical analysis.
  • Share economic perspectives with internal investment teams.
  • Prepare thematic reports and concise updates on economic and market developments.
  • Contribute to internal and external research initiatives focused on the Asia region, particularly China.
  • Draft comprehensive investment and corporate strategy reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Macro Research Analyst should have:

  • Master's degree or higher in Economics or a related field; PhD preferred.
  • Experience in government, financial institutions, or academic settings.
  • 2-3 years of working experiences from other reputable Financial Institutions
  • Strong grasp of economic fundamentals, policy frameworks, and their implications for financial markets.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both Chinese（Fluent Mandarin) and English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Preference for candidates currently residing in Hong Kong or Mainland China.
