About Our Client

Our client is a leading architecture and engineering company. They are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their dynamic architecture and engineering practice. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal support across the firm's operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate risk in complex, high-value projects.

Job Description



  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including consultancy agreements, construction contracts, subcontracts, and procurement documents.


  • Advise on tendering processes, bid documentation, and compliance with local and international procurement regulations.


  • Provide legal guidance on legal issues, including project delivery, risk allocation, and dispute avoidance.


  • Support business development by reviewing proposals and ensuring contractual terms align with company strategy.


  • Monitor regulatory developments in Hong Kong and other common law jurisdictions relevant to the firm's operations.


  • Manage external counsel relationships and coordinate litigation or arbitration when necessary.


  • Deliver training and guidance to project managers and staff on contract management and compliance.



The Successful Applicant



  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction.


  • Solid experience in commercial contracts, construction law, and tendering processes.


  • Background in construction legal advisory is preferred.


  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with attention to detail and risk management.


  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.


  • Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
