About Our Client

Our client is a leading organisation in Hong Kong with businesses across the globe. They are currently hiring a Legal Counsel position who specialises in general commercial legal matters for their global business.

Job Description

  • Reports to the department head
  • Handle full spectrum of legal and company secretarial matters for the business
  • Review and draft all types of agreements, formal letters and all kinds of legal documents
  • Provide legal support to organisation business units, including commercial contract drafting, document review, policy formulation, and addressing legal issues related to operations and projects.
  • Monitoring the business's compliance with data protection law and its privacy framework, including awareness-raising and training of employees.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external lawyers and third-party consultants to obtain various legal supporting advice, services and information
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder with 1+ PQE from reputable law firms
  • Experience in general commercial legal matters gained from in house companies or law firms
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong analytically, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
