Our client is looking for a dedicated IT Security Specialist to join their team. They are seeking a skilled Security Specialist with expertise in Splunk to enhance our cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing and managing Splunk solutions to ensure the integrity of our information systems.

About Our Client

Our client is a key financial regulator in Hong Kong. They are seeking a skilled Security Specialist with expertise in Splunk to enhance our cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing and managing Splunk solutions to ensure the integrity of our information systems.

Job Description

  • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents using Splunk.
  • Develop and optimize Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts for threat detection and incident response.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper deployment and configuration of Splunk.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and produce detailed incident reports.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Splunk features and best practices.
  • Assist in compliance audits and regulatory requirements related to information security.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Security Specialist with a strong emphasis on Splunk.
  • In-depth knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) principles.
  • Experience with incident response and threat hunting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
