My client is a reputable insurance company known for its reliable coverage and financial services. With a strong presence in the industry, they offer a wide range of insurance products, including life, health, and retirement plans, providing individuals and businesses with peace of mind and financial protection.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end application development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize application requirements and enhancements.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and quality standards throughout the application development process.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Agile and application management.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management regarding project statuses, key metrics, and recommendations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Application Manager, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience as a Scrum Master, guiding teams through Agile practices.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
  • Cantonese speaking is a must
