About Our Client

Our client is a key financial regulator in Hong Kong. They are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager specializing in cybersecurity to lead and manage transformative initiatives within an enterprise environment. This role requires deep expertise in key cybersecurity domains such as Data Protection, Identity and Access Management, and Threat & Vulnerability Management, paired with exceptional project management skills. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex cybersecurity projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, policies, and goals.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage a cybersecurity transformation program, ensuring its alignment with overarching strategies, policies, and procedures.


  • Establish and sustain robust project governance frameworks, including criteria for project selection, resource allocation, and prioritization.


  • Develop and communicate clear project deliverables, such as detailed plans, scope definitions, and success benchmarks.


  • Continuously monitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement solutions for constraints and dependencies.


  • Deliver concise updates to senior management, presenting progress, objectives, risks, and any challenges encountered.


  • Ensure cybersecurity objectives meet the organization's business needs, collaborating with domain experts and engaging stakeholders for implementation buy-in.


  • Participate actively in security-related processes, including architecture design, solution research, requirement documentation, system testing, configuration, training, and post-implementation support.


  • Facilitate vendor selection and procurement processes in compliance with regulatory guidelines


  • Manage external vendors and track project milestones using an integrated project management approach.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related disciplines.


  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, consulting, or project management. More experienced candidates may be considered for managerial roles.


  • Demonstrated success in implementing cybersecurity solutions.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize challenges and propose effective solutions.


  • A versatile approach to problem-solving, considering both technical and end-user perspectives.


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with prior experience in client-facing roles or management consulting highly preferred.


  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies and governance techniques is a plus.
