As an IT Officer, you will troubleshoot and resolve technology issues at our client's Hong Kong office, ensuring efficiency of desktop systems and applications. In addition, you will engage with other IT teams to support modernisation projects.

Job Description

  • Respond to IT support requests escalated from service desk and provide quick and effective diagnosis to resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Listen attentively to customers' questions and concerns to offer optimal solutions by walking them step-by-step through troubleshooting and configuration processes guiding them through systems troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Set up, install, and configure new desktop computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Represent the company with professionalism by prioritising customer satisfaction in all communications, directing unresolved issues to tier 3 teams.
  • Ensure follow-up with customers to ensure satisfactory service.
  • Inform and educate customers about IT products and services which improves workflow more efficient.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions provided, and inventory of IT assets.
  • Work closely with other IT staff to escalate complex issues and improve overall support processes.
  • Monitor systems for potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent downtime or disruptions.

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in an information technology field.
  • Relevant certifications are highly advantageous.
  • 3 or more years of experience in troubleshooting and supporting Windows environments, as well as common software applications and peripherals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and assist end-users and VIPS in a professional manner are a must.
  • A proactive approach and excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve IT problems issues and implement effective solutions efficiently and effectively.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with other IT professionals and departments to resolve complex issues and improve support processes.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests efficiently.
  • Proficiency in documenting technical procedures and support tickets clearly and accurately.
  • Proficient in Cantonese and English. Proficiency in Putonghua is highly advantageous.
