Our client is looking for an experienced Application Support professional to support critical business applications within a financial services environment. This role focuses on ensuring production stability, supporting change activities, and acting as a key interface between technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

About Our Client

Our client is a major public‑sector institution with a mandate to maintain financial system resilience and support long‑term market development. The organisation leads complex, multi‑year programmes involving regulatory operations, data platforms, and technology modernisation.

Job Description

  • Provide end‑to‑end production support for front‑office and back‑office applications, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs
  • Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and work with relevant teams to implement long‑term fixes and operational improvements
  • Support system changes, releases, and enhancements, including deployment coordination, post‑release validation, and documentation
  • Assist with application onboarding and project transitions from delivery into BAU support
  • Monitor application health and performance, proactively identifying potential risks or stability issues
  • Troubleshoot functional and technical issues, working closely with internal teams and external vendors where required
  • Support market data, interfaces, and batch processing activities, ensuring data accuracy and system availability
  • Maintain clear support documentation, operational procedures, and incident records
  • Act as a communication bridge between IT and business users, providing timely updates during incidents and managing expectations effectively

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-7 years of experience in application support, production support, or systems support roles
  • Prior experience within banking, financial services, asset management, or investment management environments is highly preferred
  • Exposure to investment, trading, or financial applications (e.g. portfolio management, market data, trading or settlement systems)
  • Strong hands‑on experience with incident management, problem management, and change support
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and issue investigation
  • Experience with Linux/Windows environments, batch jobs, and application monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with market data feeds, messaging, or financial system integrations is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously and remain calm under pressure
