Job Description

  1. Fulfilling SFC MIC regulatory duties as a Responsible Officer for Type 4 & Type 9 regulated activities;
  2. Conducting policy, market and target company research; to coordinate TDD, FDD, LDD;
  3. Participating corporate strategic review and long-term planning exercises aligned with business growth and regulatory compliance objectives;
  4. Sourcing high-potential deals, managing deal flow pipeline, analysing & evaluating investment opportunities;
  5. Compiling in-depth research reports and investment memos to support investment decisions;
  6. Performing and coordinating commercial, legal, financial, ESG and technical due diligence activities on potential deals;
  7. Leading deal negotiations, designing deal structures and managing the whole execution;
  8. Providing post-investment strategic support and operational oversight for portfolio companies.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Current SFC Responsible Officer (Type 4 & 9) status is preferred; Former ROs with relevant licence history will also be considered;
  2. 6 years+ working experience of Corporate Investment, IBD, PE/VC or Consulting;
  3. Demonstrated analytical ability, critical thinking, and attention to detail
  4. Motivated self-starter with ability to work well in a fast-paced and unstructured environment
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin;Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team

  7. High initiative, a self-starter to drive processes forward and take initiative while keeping team members informed and involved
  8. Passion for new technologies and trends. Asking questions and pursuing the best answers
  9. English as a working language, MUST; Native fluency of Mandarin is also required;
  10. CFA/CPA/ACCA/Minerals Appraisers, and Experiences in new energy material sector is a plus
  11. VC / PE / IBD / Consulting / Corporate Development / Product Management working experience at a top tier firm is a plus
  12. Bachelor degree from a reputable university is essential; Master degree from a top university will be a plus;
