Job Description

Technical & Architectural Leadership

  • Define, maintain, and champion enterprise‑level technical and solution architectures that align with organizational strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage technology roadmaps and application landscapes, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and alignment with long‑term business needs.
  • Lead, facilitate, and govern the solution design process, including chairing technical design or architecture review boards.



Solution Design & Delivery Governance

  • Translate complex business requirements into robust, well‑structured architectural and technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation such as C4 diagrams, application architectures, network blueprints, and integration models.
  • Provide expert recommendations on technology stacks, platforms, and patterns that best support business and operational goals.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and third‑party solutions to ensure technical feasibility, alignment, and compliance with standards.
  • Provide architectural oversight and guidance to engineering leads and delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle.



Risk, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure all designs and implementations meet requirements for security, technology risk, data privacy, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Drive adherence to best practices in system performance, scalability, reliability, and non‑functional design.



Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Engage business and technical stakeholders to communicate technical concepts, negotiate trade‑offs, and achieve shared outcomes.
  • Serve as the technical lead for major digital transformation programmes and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.



The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of experience in solution design, technical architecture, or engineering leadership across medium‑to‑large scale projects.
  • 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong domain knowledge in technology‑driven service industries (e.g., insurance, healthcare, financial services, or related sectors).
  • Extensive experience in application architecture, data architecture, and enterprise solution portfolio management.
  • Deep understanding of architecture frameworks, integration patterns, and modern technical design principles.
  • Proven ability to drive critical technology initiatives, influence stakeholders, and make strategic technical decisions.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud‑native application architectures.
  • Strong background across non‑functional areas such as information security, performance engineering, scalability, and operational resilience.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills with both technical and business audiences.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese.
