A well established Asset Management Arm of a Chinese securities house in Hong Kong is looking for an experienced Intermediary sales for their expanding sales team. This is a new headcount target to expand their distribution sales team. Fluent mandarin speaking candidate with existing client connections targeting banks, securities house and fintech platform are highly preferred.

A well established Asset Management Arm of a Chinese securities house in Hong Kong, they are specialising in serving the new economy clients, which are dedicated to providing clients with a comprehensive and diversified range of financial services, including IPO, M & A, Securities Underwriting, Financial Advisory, Investment Management, Corporate Finance Advisory, Public and Private Asset Management, and Securities Trading, etc.

Regarding the asset management arm, they are licensed to conduct type 4 and 9 regulated activities by the Securities & Futures Commission ("SFC") in Hong Kong.

The Company leverages the extensive branch network of massive banks connections and focuses on providing cross-border asset management and direct investment solutions for institutional and high net-worth clients.

Job Description

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at expanding intermediary relationships and increasing market share.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key intermediaries, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities for growth in the intermediary space.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and research teams to align intermediary strategies with overall company goals.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze results, and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to intermediary partners on products and services, ensuring they are well-equipped to represent the firm to clients.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Around 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the asset management or financial services industry, with a focus on intermediary sales with existing connections with banks, securities firm and fintech companies in Hong Kong
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with intermediaries.
    • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of investment products and market trends.
    • Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
