About Our Client
Our client is a multi-national organization which provides professional sourcing and procurement services to its clients. It has a strong client portfolio across various industries/sectors. They are now looking for a solid sourcing talent to manage the suppliers in the region to support their business development.
This is a crucial role based in Hong Kong looking after the sourcing services. You will illustrate and execute commodity strategies and sourcing plans in various categories including both IT and non-IT, so as to ensure they are aligned with global and regional standards. You will be accountable for allocating savings targets and keep track of the saving achievements for commodities. Being the essential contact person in APAC with stakeholders, you are required to effectively collaborate and connect with them in order to develop long-term relationships with business partners and secure the relationship with suppliers. At times, you will assist in the integration of relevant commodities to support P2P implementation.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have at least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing for IT and non-IT categories. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are fundamental. Strong verbal competencies in both English and Mandarin is required. Ability to read Simplified Chinese is also compulsory. Project management skills and leadership skills would be necessary in cross-function/ team collaborations. Contract knowledge and solid negotiation abilities are admirable.
