About Our Client
Our client is a high tech manufacturer with 15 manufacturing plants and sales offices worldwide. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the company employs over 7500 staff globally and have individual HR teams at the local offices. They now seek a seasoned HR executive to lead their HR function, develop a clear HR structure, policy, procedures and drive leadership and talent development as well as performance management across their business.
Reporting to the owner of the business, you will provide leadership, planning and direction to the Human Resources function in line with the objectives of the organization. The primary responsibility will be to set up a clear HR structure, policy and procedures, and drive these global standards to the multiple plants and sales offices worldwide. You will work closely with the senior stakeholders and manufacturing heads to understand their business needs and challenges, while be able to form recruitment, leadership, talent development and performance management strategies to attract, retain, motivate and develop the necessary human capital skills for staff at all levels in all locations. You will streamline communication channels to ensure corporate goals are clearly aligned and challenges, changes and opportunities are embraced by all staff. In addition, you will develop and leverage strategic HR best practices and initiatives to enhance execution, performance and employee satisfaction levels.
The Successful Applicant
This is a challenging role that will suit a seasoned and energetic HR executive eager to have an impact on the organisation's next phase of development. Suitable candidates will be degree qualified with at least 15 years' HR management experience in a progressive and complex international organisation. Essential to this role is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where the successful candidate will be required to lead and manage a whole range of strategic projects while maintaining a practical and hands-on approach. Essential characteristics will include diplomacy, integrity, flexible, practice and sound judgement with the ability to interface effectively with staff at all levels. Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin are expected. Candidates with experience in manufacturing and logistics industries will be highly sought after.
