About Our Client
Our client is a US company who designs, develops and manufacturers high quality footwear accessories for international renowned retail shoes brands. Celebrated for its comfort and technology, the business has been expanding rapidly in the past few years and now have multiple sales offices and manufacturing plants around the globe.
As an integral part of the management team and a key business partner, you will formulate, standardise and execute HR strategies and policies to support company growth and business objectives. You will oversee and manage the full spectrum of HR activities in Hong Kong as well as the manufacturing plants and sales offices with the support of the local HR teams. Key responsibilities include recruitment for business expansion, talent management and development, setting up standards for performance management, aligning benefits and rewards, employee relations as well as overseeing compensation and benefits across the various entities around the globe. In addition, you will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that HR will be able to fully support the business growth and expansion in the long run.
The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified, you will have a minimum of 15-20 years' of HR generalist experience with at least 5 years in a senior regional or global management position. Candidates from sizable manufacturing, sourcing or multinational company background are highly sought after. With strong business acumen and high energy levels, you will have a strategic and open mindset to create and standardise the HR functions across all offices and manufacturing sites , while being able to take on a hands-on approach when managing and guiding the local HR teams. You will be familiar with labour law in Hong Kong and have considerable exposure to international and China markets. A committed team player, you will possess strong leadership, interpersonal , communication and problem solving skills as well as the passion and energy to act as a change agent to build an effective team. Fluency in English is essential while a good level of conversational Mandarin will be required. Frequent travelling will be required initially to meet with the local teams and key stakeholders , and will diminish as the HR function becomes more mature.
