A rapidly expanding business in Hong Kong is seeking a capable and commercially-minded HR Manager to join the leadership team. This is a pivotal role that combines full ownership of operational HR with meaningful strategic influence during a high-growth phase.

Job Description

HR Operations Leadership

  • Full accountability for end-to-end HR operations: recruitment (corporate + volume hiring), onboarding & offboarding, performance management, employee relations, leave & attendance, HR administration & compliance
  • Oversee monthly payroll processing accuracy, MPF, tax reporting, benefits administration and annual C&B cycle (salary & bonus review)
  • Maintain HRIS / payroll system integrity and produce regular HR reporting & headcount analytics
  • Ensure full compliance with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and other relevant regulations



Policy Review & Revamp

  • Lead periodic comprehensive review and update of HR policies, employee handbook, internal guidelines and procedures
  • Identify gaps, benchmark against fast-growing peers and fintech/professional services standards, draft new/revised policies and drive company-wide communication & implementation



Strategic HR Project Management

  • Own and execute key HR projects aligned with business growth (examples: performance framework redesign, talent acquisition scaling model, hybrid/remote policy, succession & leadership pipeline, engagement & retention programs, HR digitalisation initiatives)
  • Manage project timelines, stakeholder alignment, change management and post-implementation review



Business Partnering & Advisory

  • Act as trusted HR advisor to department heads and senior management
  • Provide proactive advice on workforce planning, organisational design, headcount budgeting, talent strategy, people cost optimisation and change initiatives
  • Translate business expansion plans into concrete people priorities and solutions

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
  • 8-12 years of progressive HR generalist experience, with at least 3-5 years in HR managerial role
  • Demonstrated success managing full-spectrum HR operations in a fast-growing company (fintech, technology, professional services, retail or consumer sectors preferred)
  • Proven experience leading policy reviews, handbook revamps and multiple HR transformation / scaling projects
  • Strong business acumen - able to link HR decisions to revenue growth, cost control and operational scalability
  • Confident, credible and comfortable advising senior leaders and influencing change
  • Excellent stakeholder management, project management and presentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is highly desirable
  • Proficient in modern HRIS platforms (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, SAP SuccessFactors etc.) and advanced Excel / PowerPoint
