About Our Client

Founded in 1889, the Hong Kong Golf Club is a prestigious private golf club with a total of 63 holes spread across two distinct locations, approximately 45km apart. The primary facility is located in Fanling, in the New Territories region, where members have access to three championship golf courses. These courses offer members & guests a premier golfing experience steeped in tradition and supported by world-class amenities. The Fanling location serves as the heart of the club's golf operations, hosting major events and tournaments.

The club's secondary location, Deep Water Bay, is situated on the scenic south side of Hong Kong Island. This facility features a 9-hole par-3 course, ideal for golfers seeking a shorter, more relaxed game. Deep Water Bay maintains the same commitment to excellence while providing members with two restaurants-a European restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. Together, these two locations enable the Hong Kong Golf Club to offer diverse golfing experiences, ensuring exceptional services and programs for all members, while upholding the club's storied legacy.

Job Description

Leadership & Strategy

*Develop and execute a strategic vision for the golf operation aligned with the club's values and goals.

*Lead and mentor the golf team of 81, including 12 PGA professionals, golf operations and retail staff.Member Experience

*Foster a welcoming and professional environment for members and guests.

*Manage member communications related to golf activities, events, and services.

*Oversee the planning and delivery of tournaments, coaching programs, and member golf events.Operations Management

*Oversee daily golf operations including tee time management, pace of play, and course etiquette.

*Collaborate with the Course Superintendent to ensure optimal course conditions.

*Attend monthly meetings of the Golf and Courses Committee.Coaching & Development

*Oversee coaching programs for all levels, including the clubs Junior Development Programme of 180 members.

*Promote golf development initiatives and member engagement in coaching activities.Commercial & Financial

*Proven expertise in merchandising and a demonstrated ability to enhance revenue through retail management, coaching, and event coordination.

*Prepare and manage budgets for golf operations, ensuring financial sustainability.Compliance & Safety

*Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, club policies, and industry regulations.

The Successful Applicant

*PGA qualified professional with significant experience in a leadership role at a premium golf facility.

*Proven track record in delivering exceptional member service and operational excellence.

*Strong leadership, communications, and interpersonal skills.

*Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and driving revenue.

*Passionate about golf and committed to growing the game within a private club environment.
