About Our Client
Our client is a world leading Financial institution, with a global presence and industry leading reputation. We are looking for a Head of Procurement to drive global sourcing transformation and influence both exco stakeholder and supplier engagement across their various business platforms.
This is a key role, accountable for the management for senior global stakeholders across the business and act as the "account executive" for all of ' four core services. The role holder will be part of the Procurement ExCo's providing strategic influence over the businesses procurement strategies, the primarily focus in helping the business to achieve its strategic goals by obtaining maximum value from 3rd party partners to support the business plan and strategy. The role holder will be a "trusted advisor" to the relevant ExCo's and will need to establish a holistic understanding of the functions needs, operating with the top decision makers within the global businesses. The role holder will be a single point of contact in to Procurement for the BU stakeholders, delivering innovative procurement solutions and third party strategies.
The role holder will be responsible for all of the services provided to the BU's - costs and allocations, third party risk management, accounts payable, operational procurement, sourcing, operational buying and travel services that are delivered under our four core services. This includes operational oversight of performance both internally and for our third party outsourced partner. Escalation point for internal queries and issues procurement and will be the accountable risk owner for any issues.
Keys to success within this role are:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships and credibility at a senior level across the business whilst also possessing deep skills in analysis/synthesis in application of a range of commercial models, including outsourcing, with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Value Generation
- Fulfilment and improvement in quality of services as required by the business today and anticipated future growth (i.e. acting as a true partner to our business colleagues)
The Successful Applicant
With expert influencing skills and deep category and operational knowledge of Procurement, the above will be achieved through an understanding of the strategic direction of the procurement business and the creation, delivery and continual review of robust and forward-looking category and operational plans that use the full range of supply and demand levers. This role will deliver innovative high value solutions across all product lines and processes.
We are looking for candidates with regional or global remits, within Tier 1 Banking institutions or Insurance firms.
