About Our Client
Our client is undergoing the process to set up their virtual bank business in Hong Kong. The business is backed by a few well established financial institutions and their major shareholder is a leading conglomerate listed in the US, China and Hong Kong with strength in data and technology. The newly created C-suite level are fully on board and they are now hiring a Head of HR to manage the set up , HR planning and hiring strategy for the new start up.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the management team providing leadership and direction to the HR function in line with the business objectives and company growth. You will be responsible for setting up the HR function and will oversee all facets of HR including setting up the HR policy and procedures, recruitment and selection, human resources planning, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and talent management. You will act as a true business partner to the business heads and work closely with the HKMA to ensure you will develop and implement HR policies and guidelines in compliance to local legislation.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will be a degree educated human resources professional with a proven track record in providing both strategic and operational human resources management in the financial services, payment technology, fintech, high tech or data companies. You will be comfortable working in a set up yet fast-paced environment where you will be required to lead and manage a range of strategic projects while maintaining a practical and hands-on approach. You will be an team player with passion and a strong belief in technology, while also having an inquisitive and entrepreneurial mindset to drive the business with the senior management. Fluency in English and Chinese is a pre-requisite as are exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
