Job Description

As Head of Human Resources, you will lead the development and execution of people strategies that support the organisation's mission, long‑term sustainability and service excellence. A key priority of the role is to drive HR transformation and digitalisation, including the move towards paperless processes, the upgrade of the HRIS platform, and the enhancement of payroll systems to improve efficiency, data integrity and user experience. You will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, performance management, and organisation and leadership development, ensuring robust and compliant HR practices are in place. The role requires close partnership with senior management and the Board to provide strategic HR advice, workforce planning support and risk management guidance, as well as leadership in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. You will also oversee compensation and benefits frameworks to attract and retain talent, and lead and empower the HR team to deliver high‑quality, professional and responsive services across the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will possess a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, together with 20 to 25 years of substantial HR leadership experience gained from sizable organisations across the commercial, quasi‑government or not‑for‑profit sectors. The role requires a strong and practical understanding of Hong Kong employment legislation and HR best practices, combined with proven leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities. The individual must be comfortable preparing written submissions and papers for HR policy changes, justifications and governance approvals, including presentation to senior management and boards. Demonstrated experience in driving HR transformation initiatives is essential, particularly in leading HR digitalisation, implementing paperless processes, and upgrading HRIS and payroll platforms. A strategic and hands‑on mindset is critical, with the ability to translate HR strategy into effective policies and execution, alongside a genuine commitment to and passion for contributing to the mission and values of a not‑for‑profit organisation. Fluency in English and Chinese are essential.
