Our client is a well established organization with a mixed industry nature in Hong Kong and China.

Job Description

Reporting to the MD and board, you will provide leadership, planning and direction to the Greater China region in line with business objectives. Supported by a team of HR professionals at the group level, a diverse range of HR activities will be covered by this role with key responsibilities including senior level recruitment, strategies around talent management, engagement, compensation & benefits, performance management and employer branding. You will work with the senior stakeholders across all businesses to understand their challenges and provide your HR expert advice around budget & cost management, headcount planning, hi-po identification and how to handle situations in staff grievance , performance issues and work injury. You will ensure that the HR policies are in compliance with the regulations across HK and China, and set clear guidelines for the BU HR team to adhere to. Specifically, you will review and integrate existing HR policies as well as develop and implement new initiatives as per company's needs and future development.

The Successful Applicant

Degree qualified, you will have a minimum of 25-30 years of generalist experience, preferably from sizable listco or conglomerates with a mixed industry background. Candidates would preferably come from companies with a large front line workforce such as hospitality, retail, logistics, airline, engineering , construction...etc A background within the Greater China region is essential, as in an understanding of labour laws and the employment market in Hong Kong and China. Driven, enthusiastic and with a strong passion to succeed, you will have excellent senior stakeholder management , relationship building and communication skills. A high level of personal and professional integrity and strong ethics is required, whilst the ability to strategize and solve problems will be key. A good level of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required.
