About Our Client

Our client is a large enterprise with a large portfolio of business. They are currently hiring a Head of Data CoE, Greater China to manage a hierarchy team of 10+ across China regions.

Job Description

- As Chief Data Officer of the group. A senior, visible leader of Data CoE, hierarchy manage a team of 10+ across China Regions; Report to C-Level
- Design and implement the roadmap for the data CoE
- Span and apply these capabilities across a wider analytics team and multiple business units
- Lead and develop teams in the fields of Data Analytics and Infrastructure (data platform, business data layers)
- Identify, plan and implement the roadmap to bring in other, appropriate capabilities to the CoE
- Implement an effective operating model to integrate with IT team
- Front various business unit senior stakeholders on specific topics and regional counterparts
- As ambassador for the team, both within the Data CoE, IT and with business units
- Oversee the process to determine the right things to do across competing business agendas
- Operate existing controls and design new controls to manage operational risk across our processes
- Drive a culture of learning and career development across a large team
- Work closely with key stakeholders and the Data CoE/ IT leadership team to deliver on its vision as a high performing team of data specialists that extract value from data across every line of business

The Successful Applicant

· Bachelor's in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or relevant disciplines
· 15 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a Director/ Head of role (Experience in hierarchy manage a small to medium size team is preferred)
· Multiple data platform and analytics tools management experiences
· Previous experience with structural and non-structural data processing, data workflows, languages and tools: (e.g., Oracle, SQL, MySQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Spark)
· Extensive experience in data platform and analytics in a complex business environment
· Proven track record of successfully leading data transformation including architecture, analytics and platform and projects
· Approachable, logical and calm personality
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong influencing skills. Strong in building rapport and relationships with senior stakeholders.
· Demonstrated leadership and change management at scale in data field
· Demonstrated experience at effectively integrating data solutions into an end-to-end business process
· Demonstrated ability to navigate complex environments
· Develop and enrich the careers of high performers in the team
· Good command in Chinese and English
