About Our Client

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join as the Head of Credit Risk for Secured Lending Products, focusing primarily on Margin Financing and Wealth Financing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in credit risk management within the banking or financial services industry.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement credit risk policies, procedures, and frameworks for secured lending products in margin financing and wealth financing.
  • Assess and manage credit risks associated with margin financing and wealth financing activities.
  • Conduct thorough credit analyses and risk assessments on potential borrowers.
  • Monitor and analyze credit exposure and portfolio performance to ensure compliance with risk management guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize credit risk strategies and enhance risk mitigation measures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements related to credit risk management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in credit risk management, specifically within margin financing and wealth financing.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound credit decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing a team of credit risk professionals.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
