We are seeking a motivated and vigilant Compliance Team Head/ Head of Compliance to oversee and manage compliance issues within our organization, ensuring that our company, staff, and clients are complying with internal policies and regulations.

Job Description

As a Compliance Team Head, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing an effective legal compliance program.
  • Lead the compliance team covering both AML and General Compliance duties
  • will be the main point of contact with the HKMA
  • Collaborating with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
  • Reviewing and evaluating compliance issues/concerns within the organization.
  • Ensuring all departments are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies.
  • Providing training to employees on compliance-related topics, policies, or procedures.
  • Reporting back to business functions on current risk and compliance performance.
  • Participating in industry-related events and professional organizations to ensure awareness of industry developments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Team Head should have:

  • A degree in law, finance, business management or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of compliance experience where 4 of those years are in leadership roles
  • must have compliance experience in corporate banking and/or global markets
  • prefer candidates with strong general compliance and exposure to AML
  • Excellent communication skills in english and cantonese
