Job Description

  1. Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion
    Lead the full build‑out of the APAC precious metals business from zero to scale, shaping the long‑term strategy across physical gold, gold futures, and digital gold products.
  2. Business Line Ownership
    Serve as the chief architect of the precious metals division, overseeing product development, trading operations, market structure design, and commercial strategy.
  3. Executive Stakeholder Management
    Report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with executive leadership, ensuring strong alignment with the firm's overall strategic objectives and growth roadmap.
  4. Market Development & Ecosystem Building
    Build and manage a regional ecosystem of market participants including refiners, bullion banks, brokers, trading houses, exchanges, and digital asset platforms.
  5. Digital Precious Metals Innovation
    Integrate traditional precious metals expertise with fintech capabilities-designing and launching digital gold solutions, blockchain‑enabled trading, and next‑generation settlement systems.
  6. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
    Engage regulators across APAC to secure approvals, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape industry standards for both physical and digital precious metals markets.
  7. Risk & Governance Leadership
    Establish risk frameworks covering market, liquidity, operational, and counterparty risks specific to precious metals products and market operations.
  8. Commercial Growth & P&L Accountability
    Own business performance and P&L. Drive revenue growth through product innovation, market penetration, partnerships, and new monetization models (e.g., storage, clearing, digital issuance).

The Successful Applicant

  1. Deep Precious Metals Expertise
    Solid experience in physical gold, gold futures, or commodities trading, with strong familiarity with APAC markets, global benchmarks (e.g., LBMA), and vaulting ecosystems.
  2. Proven Business‑Building Track Record
    Demonstrated success in building or scaling a commodities, exchange, or digital‑asset‑related business-especially from inception to operational readiness.
  3. Fintech & Digital Asset Capability
    Strong understanding of digital financial services, tokenization, blockchain innovation, electronic trading platforms, and digital settlement models.
  4. Senior Leadership & Stakeholder Influence
    Experience interfacing with C‑suite executives, regulators, and global institutional partners. Strong leadership skills with the ability to attract and develop top talent.
  5. Strategic Vision + Execution Excellence
    Ability to connect long‑term strategic vision with rigorous execution. Comfortable operating in high‑growth environments, managing complexity, and driving measurable commercial results.
