About Our Client
Our client is a world renowned US Retailer with strong financials. They are now looking for an accomplished procurement leader with exceptional stakeholder management skills to lead the procurement function in Greater China - one of their highest growth regions.
As the regional procurement leader and a close business partner to the executive management and different BU heads, you will provide expert advise on the sourcing strategy and best practices across the business.
Reporting into APAC Procurement Head and leading a mid-sized team, you will drive strategic sourcing projects and develop key category roadmaps & strategies to generate value for the company.
You will identify opportunity, new concepts and improvement initiatives with the objectives to drive cost down while maximising profitability.
You will also play a key role acting as a trusted partner to the various Business Units/ Functions, understanding their business needs to better support them in achieving their business goals.
As a team leader, you will also develop, upskill and continue grow the team in the region.
The Successful Applicant
You will be a commercially astute procurement expert with a strong value-adding mindset, coupled with demonstrated success in supporting business partners in achieving financial & business objectives.
You will possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in sourcing (both direct and indirect) ideally in a retail, consumer or FMCG industry setting.
You will also have demonstrated success leading high profile projects and achieving quantifiable success.
Excellent English language skills is required for this role.
