Lead FP&A for the region
About Our Client
Our client is a global player in the pharmaceutical industry, who is at the forefront of Oncology and Cancer Chemotherapy research. They having been ramping up operations in Asia for the past few years and are now looking for a FP&A lead to help drive this continued expansion across the Asia Pacific region.
Leads regional FP&A function across Asia Pacific, including Japan. Leads, plans, organizes and coordinates and consolidates budget, latest estimate and variance analysis across the Region. Heads long-term planning support activities. Is point person for providing analyses and prepares reports to Corporate Responsible. Prepares monthly/quarterly regional and functional reporting. Standardizes and streamlines planning and reporting processes. Ensures all company data is collected, derived and consolidated from all departments in order to produce reliable forecasting and reporting. Monitors contracts (insurances, leasings, rents, etc.). Maintains the integrity of the Region's reporting hierarchy and structure. You will lead all FP&A projects regionally and participate in International projects.
Business Partnering: Communicates and provides direction to Regional Executives about financial trends and their business implications. Provides decision support to various stakeholders (management, project teams, functions). Facilitates business planning and decision making. Provides proactive financial analysis, modelling of "what if" scenarios.
Leadership: Manages a small regional team and leads the regional FP&A activities. Provides and organizes trainings and ensures high level of FP&A capabilities across JAPAC,
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience of managing a regional FP&A team in Asia Pacific, with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience for a multinational firm. Working in a matrix environment is essential and a US firm would be valuable. Experience across accounting, consolidation, reporting and budgeting and planning in English is essential. Exposure to Hyperion and SAP would be an advantage. MBA or CPA would be considered favorably and 5 years plus in a managerial role is preferred. Knowledge of US GAAP is important.
