Job Description

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis, monitor key performance indicators, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance and cost efficiencies.
  • Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and present them to senior management.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and actionable budgets.
  • Monitor budgetary performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to support decision-making and cost control measures.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and projections to assist in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of statutory financial audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification CPA is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a finance management role, preferably within the consumer goods or retail industry.
  • Solid knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
