Job Description

  • Leads the corporate finance function with respect to the accounting of the assigned entities
  • Ensures month-end closing and reporting requirements for the entities are completed accurately in a timely manner
  • Ensures compliance with technical services and hotel management agreements in relation to fee computation and key money disbursement and accounting
  • Analyses and reviews financial statements
  • Ensures bank and balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely
  • Ensures adherence to statutory and internal audit requirement
  • Prepares Annual Business Plan and Monthly Forecasts for the lodging entities including variance analysis
  • Completes the Group's tax packages and files corporate tax returns for the assigned entities on time
  • Prepares transfer-pricing report, computation of annual and advance tax and payment thereof
  • Work with tax auditors and consultants on tax audits, transfer pricing, GST audits, etc.
  • Assists consultants and legal advisors in filing tax related response / notices / submission of documents etc. for all the assigned entities
  • Work with company secretaries and legal teams to ensure compliance
  • Process entities' monthly payroll
  • Ensures monthly local retirement fund reporting are filed timely
  • Ensures local personal tax filing is completed timely each year
  • Provides first line of response for corporate finance related queries from various department heads
  • Conducts ad hoc projects and analysis for commercial improvement opportunities as and when required
  • Identifies improvements and streamlines processes through automation

The Successful Applicant

  • Knowledge of overall hotel operations and governance
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative; strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others at all levels, including senior management
  • Effective decision-making skills; can choose a prompt course of action amongst options involving uncertainty or risk
  • Strong problem-solving skills; encourages new innovative solutions when appropriate
  • Ability to build consensus amongst various stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
