Job Description

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership:‌ Steer financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for upstream operations, aligning with corporate growth objectives.
  • Capital & Risk Management:‌ Lead capital-raising initiatives, treasury functions, and hedging strategies to mitigate commodity price risks.
  • M&A & Value Creation:‌ Drive due diligence, valuation, and integration of upstream acquisitions/divestments.
  • Succession Readiness:‌ Collaborate closely with the CFO and executive team to transition seamlessly into broader leadership responsibilities.
  • Team Development:‌ Mentor high-performing finance teams across diverse geographies

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience:‌ 15+ years in senior finance roles, with ‌10+ years in the oil & gas upstream sector‌. Proven success in a publicly listed or multinational environment.
  • Technical Skills:‌ Expertise in upstream financial modeling, reservoir economics, joint venture accounting, and international tax regimes.
  • Leadership:‌ Track record of building agile finance functions in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Communication:‌ Exceptional English fluency (written/spoken); ability to articulate strategy to global stakeholders.
  • Education:‌ Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
