About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organization with global presense. This new position will be leading the IT & Cyber Security function for the region and help further grow the business's presence in Greater China and South East Asia regions.

The client is seeling an experienced CISO to lead the company's cybersecurity strategy and technology risk management initiatives across the regions. The CISO will be responsible for safeguarding the organization's information assets, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and mitigating risks associated with emerging threats in the cybersecurity landscape.

Job Description

  • Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives, focusing on the unique challenges and regulatory requirements of the Greater China and Southeast Asia regions.
  • Identify, assess, and manage technology-related risks throughout the organization, ensuring that risk management practices are integrated into all business processes and decision-making.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and the board of directors to communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies effectively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity-related matters, both internally and externally.
  • Build and foster a culture of security awareness,
  • Provide training and resources to staff to enhance their understanding of cybersecurity risks and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and best practices across the Greater China and Southeast Asia regions, including local data protection laws, and industry-specific regulations etc.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all cybersecurity policies are up-to-date and effectively communicated.
    Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Lead the design and execution of security architecture and frameworks that effectively protect critical assets.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology risk management, with a focus on multinational organizations.
  • Must be experienced as a CISO / Executive Head for at least 3 years
  • Proven experience in leading cybersecurity initiatives across the Greater China and Southeast Asia regions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
