About Our Client
Our client is a reputable European company and has been at the forefront in their industry as one of the best known organisations in Asia. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join their senior management team in Hong Kong.
As an integral member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of Human Resources duties and work closely with key stakeholders as an HR business partner to provide strategic guidance and counsel. You will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and direction to the HR function in line with the organisation's objectives whilst developing and enhancing existing HR practices across areas such as recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, training, performance management and talent development. You will contribute to maintain a positive work environment and a high level of employee engagement to attract and retain talents. In addition, there will be extensive interaction with all levels of professional staff as well as frequent liaison with the head office in Europe hence a high level of stakeholder management and communications skills is expected.
The Successful Applicant
This is a challenging role that will suit a seasoned and passionate HR executive eager to have an impact on the organisation's development in the long run. Suitable candidates will be degree qualified in business, human resources , organisational & industrial psychology or other related disciplines with a minimum of 15 year's human resources management experience in a progressive and matrix international organisation environment. Essential to this role is the ability to act as a strong HRBP where the successful candidate will have expertise in the full spectrum of HR services including employment contracts and ordinance, recruitment in all levels, compensation & benefits, mobility as well as a sound knowledge in overseeing payroll, MPF , insurance and additional benefits for expatriates. Practical and resourceful, essential characteristics will include diplomacy, integrity, sound judgement and professionalism and the ability to interface effectively with staff at all levels. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills in native English is expected, language fluency in German and Cantonese is a plus.
