About Our Client

Our client is a sizable HK-listed manufacturing company with a large finance team in HK and China, they provide great regional exposure and learning. They are rapidly expanding and hiring a new headcount for the Deputy Financial Controller position. They have more than 100 people in the Chinese finance team and this position requires candidates to spend 70 % of time stationing in Shenzhen.

Job Description

  • Managing a large accounting team in China.
  • Review the accounting operations of 3 factories and become familiar with the operations of the company
  • Formulate effective cost reporting and analysis.
  • Manage AR, AP, credit control, and treasury management
  • Supervising month-end closing and preparation of reporting packages.
  • Managing and coordinating taxation matters in China, including tax planning, transfer pricing, tax filing, and liaising with local authorities for tax and customs.
  • Help monitor internal controls and corporate governance matters
  • Liaise with external auditors, bankers, tax advisors, valuers, and other professional service providers in China.



The Successful Applicant

  • Hold a degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field, with professional accounting qualifications.
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of consolidation and accounting operations experience at commercial and audit firm experience
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, collaborating effectively with teams and stakeholders to realize company objectives.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability, capable of working independently and under pressure.
  • Display fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
