Job Description

Role Overview

The Consumer Research Analyst will be responsible for generating deep insights into global consumer behavior, industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes. This role supports the investment team in sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring opportunities across global markets.

In addition, approximately 20% of the role will involve providing administrative and coordination support to the CEO, ensuring smooth daily operations for the leadership team.



Key Responsibilities

Market & Consumer Insights

  • Conduct thematic research on global consumer trends, including digital consumption, lifestyle shifts, mobility, retail innovation, and sustainability.
  • Analyze consumer behaviors and spending patterns across major markets.
  • Track emerging business models and category disruptors across consumer sectors.

Investment Research Support

  • Produce in-depth industry analysis, market segmentation, and competitive intelligence.
  • Build qualitative and quantitative assessments for companies under evaluation.
  • Support due diligence processes by gathering consumer, market, and product insights.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Utilize traditional and alternative datasets to generate insights.
  • Prepare clear, concise research reports and presentations.
  • Monitor global macro trends and assess their implications for consumer sectors.

CEO Administrative Support (Approx. 20%)

  • Assist the CEO with scheduling, meeting coordination, and follow‑
  • Support preparation of briefs, meeting materials, and internal documents.
  • Help manage communication flow, reminders, and basic operational tasks.
  • Coordinate logistics for CEO-related activities when needed.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement

  • Work closely with investment professionals across asset classes.
  • Engage with external partners, consultants, and data providers.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-building and the firm's consumer sector strategy.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in consumer research, consulting, equity research, market intelligence, or investment analysis.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Highly organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks-including both analytical and administrative work.
  • Self-driven, intellectually curious, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Global perspective and interest in cross-market consumer behavior.
  • Excellent in both English and Mandarin
