Our client is one of the largest US investment banks that mainly provides investment and wealth management services. The department is currently looking for a Client risk Analyst/ Associate to handle client risk review, risk assessment in business perspective for private banking clients. The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of working experience in business risk management field for private banking clients.
  • Experience in FCC/ Compliance/ AML risk field under PWM sector

Our client is a well-known established US investment bank that provides wealth and investment services for more than 400 years of history in over 40 countries. They are currently looking for a Client risk Analyst/ Associate to be responsible for client business risk review and management, daily monitoring and regular trigger event review on investment and portfolio performance for private banking clients.

Job Description

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of supervisory policies and procedures governing Private Wealth Management client relationships, including those pertaining to vulnerable clients, non-traditional client segments, and client knowledge/sophistication assessments.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the Client Selection Committee, Client Risk Review, and Client Escalation Committee proceedings to ensure a holistic, risk-informed perspective is incorporated into client onboarding and ongoing management.
  • Prepare comprehensive internal control reports and presentations, analyze findings, and effectively communicate insights to committee members; diligently follow up on any action items or remediation efforts arising from these reviews.
  • Maintain vigilant monitoring of client portfolio behaviours and emerging trends, proactively identifying areas that warrant further investigation or risk mitigation.
  • Provide substantive input and analysis to support the internal review process, drawing upon feedback received directly from clients.
  • Conduct rigorous, independent risk assessments tailored to individual client profiles, with a particular focus on identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure the timely, accurate, and consistently applied collection and reporting of key risk indicators across the Private Wealth Management business.
  • Actively engage in and contribute to risk management and strategic business initiatives, leveraging your domain expertise to drive positive outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree holder of business administration or relevant discipline
  • At least 2 years of working experience in 1st line of defense under business risk management field under PWM sector
  • Knowledge on different financial products (derivatives, structured products, funds), strong risk mindset and identify unusual trading pattern
  • Good understanding in HKMA, SFC and MAS' rules
  • Strong attention to detail, technical skills with clear and logical manner
  • Work collaboratively with team member
  • Strong quick learning ability to understand policies, procedures, systems, process and controls
  • Excellent of written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
