Job Description

As a Claims Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluate and approve individual claims, complaints, and complex cases within delegated authority, while managing customer expectations through flexible solutions.
  • Prepare regular management and business reports for the Claims Department.
  • Conduct data analysis, gather user requirements, define project scope, and review functional specifications to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Support the Department Head to drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Lead and coordinate system enhancements and e-platform initiatives to meet business priorities.
  • Deliver ongoing training and support to improve the professional standards and knowledge of both internal staff and agency partners.
  • Handle UAT activities including test planning, case preparation, quality checks, bug tracking, retesting, reporting, and post-implementation monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely, budget-conscious project delivery.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, management, business administration or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of experience in claims or project roles within the Life Insurance industry.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an huge advantage.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • FLMI or ICA certification is an advantage.
