Our client is a well-known Chinese Law Firm here in Hong Kong. They are expanding their HK finance team and are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Candidates with experience handling client / trust monies are welcomed to apply!

Job Description

  • Handling and client monies and diligently processing transactions in accordance to case handlers' instructions in compliance to Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Monitoring and handling bank payment and receipt transactions and update ledger records accordingly
  • Effective communication with internal and external clients in regards to transaction statuses
  • Proactively review and monitor cashflow and perform regular office/client accounts bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledger records
  • Proactively enforcing the credit policy across all debts
  • Proactively review and monitor the level of AR, unbilled disbursements and strive to reduce unbilled time and costs
  • Participate and engage in partners meetings to address requests and queries on WIP and billing statuses
  • Responsible for coordinating with partners, fee earners and secretaries and prompt processing of fees, disbursements etc.
  • Assisting with interoffice reconciliation and ensure that settlements are conducted regularly
  • Preparing the bank reconciliation
  • Assisting with year-end audit and tax assessment.
  • Providing backup support to other Finance team members
  • Assisting with ad-hoc requests and queries from Partners, Fee earners and management team



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance / any other related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of working experience in law firms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with a polite and professional approach
  • Strong sense of integrity and discretion
  • Proactive manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Robustness and composure under pressure
