Job Description

- Act as a strategic business partner to the leadership team; assess organizational performance and financial performance against the annual budget, prior year results and the company's long-term strategy
- Advise on business strategies and business model improvements that increase efficiency and value of the Company
- Support or lead capital raising, M&A and/or corporate partnering activities to enable the company to meet growth objectives
- IPO readiness including lead preparation of public company filings, compliance, investor relations support and long-range planning
- Develop and implement tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information and make actionable recommendations to leadership team and board on both strategy and operations
- Board, Audit, Compensation, and Corporate Governance committee meeting preparation, support and attendance
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company's strategic plans
- Stock option plan management and capitalization table management
- Participate in supplier contract negotiation and cost reduction planning
- Represent the company to business partners, analysts, investors, including financial institutions and auditors
- Serve as a key role in culture development to support organizational expansion.

The Successful Applicant

- Bachelor's Degree required. MBA and/or CPA/CFA/ACCA are ideal.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Life Sciences (tools, biotech, pharma, med device, diagnostics, or Health IT) required.
- Experience as both a strategic thought role to help drive corporate initiatives and a willingness and ability to switch to hands on role as necessary.
- Public company CFO experience within the life sciences (biotech/pharma/med device) highly desired
- Investment Banking/Wall Street related experience highly valued.
- Strong experience in all stages of growth with specific expertise in managing the preparation for and process of an IPO is required.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions and partnering activities.
- Excellent communicator and effective in presenting financial and strategic information
- Demonstrated leadership of strong team culture
- Ability to engage and lead effectively in a hybrid work environment
