About Our Client

The employer is a major leisure destination featuring three hotels with over 1,000 rooms, a large ski and golf course, and natural hot springs.

Job Description

1. Develop and execute the financial strategy to align with the company's growth objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making and drive profitability.
2. Oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions where needed.
3. Identify and mitigate financial risks by ensuring robust controls, compliance with international accounting standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
4. Capital & Treasury Management: Lead capital allocation and cash flow management, oversee treasury functions, and manage relationships with financial institutions to ensure effective liquidity management.
5. Prepare and present financial reports to the board, investors, and stakeholders. Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting according to international financial standards.
6. Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration across global finance functions.

The Successful Applicant

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. 20+ years of senior finance experience, with at least 8 years in a CFO or similar executive role within the hospitality, or related industry.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and inspire confidence across diverse, multicultural environments.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong presence in boardrooms and a collaborative approach to working with executive leadership.
5. Fluent in Mandarin and English, Japanese is a plus.
6. Experience with Chinese enterprises or working alongside Chinese companies or individuals.
