About Our Client
Our client is a new set up in the region and is expanding into the North Asia market in the Food & Beverage/FMCG industry. As a result, they are looking for a CEO to lead the new set up and the aggressive expansion plans in China.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be overall responsible for the P&L and general management of the business, where the focus of growth today is China. You will develop and propose strategies to the board of directors to support the vision for sustainable growth for the next 3 years. Working closely with the marketing/brand consultant, you will also be involved in developing product positioning, formulate marketing strategy for product launch and subsequent brand visibility. You will also oversee the development of online platform including the official company website, e-commerce and mobile platform. Recruiting and leading a sizeable team, you will ensure all functions such as sales, brand and marketing, product, operations, distribution and customer service are all running effectively. As a leader, you will lead from the front and cultivate, develop and ensuring the teams work towards a common goal. You will also liaise and work closely with key business partners such as manufacturer and shareholders in Europe while maintaining a strong working relationship and driving a shared vision.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate should be degree qualified and possess at least 15 years of relevant working experience in the FMCG/F&B sector, with recent years in a leadership role. Successful general management experience with direct responsibility for a management team, and a demonstrated track record of delivering top line growth and bottom line performance is essential. Start-up experience coupled with e-commerce business model would be highly advantageous. You should have a strong business acumen, a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to converse in Mandarin would be ideal as this business would focus on growth in China. Experience working through the HoReCa channel would also be a strong added advantage.
