Business Development Manager - Global Logistics Company

Our client is a well-established logistics company that provides services globally. The business operates in over 70 countries. They are also an award-winning company with long history.
The Business Development Manager will report to the Managing Director. This role will be responsible for the total supply chain solution the company provides, from order management, distribution and fulfilment, transportation, global trade to all the relevant analytic. This person will have to identify the right targeted customers within the assigned industry, manage the full sales cycles, develop new business opportunities within the region and maintain strong relationship with existing clients. This person will have the daily tasks of managing RFQ process, P&L and communication with stakeholders and partners. This role also has the task of following up account receivable issues and facilitating the implementation of new customer projects.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidates will have university degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related disciplines. This person needs to be in the logistics or supply chain business for at least 5 years with solid sales or account management records. This candidate needs to be sales results oriented with an aggressive attitude in new business development. The person needs to have strong understanding on the processes and protocols of global supply chain. This person will need to be able to work independently and pay close attention to details. Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills are required. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese are mandatory. Fluent mandarin would be an advantage.
