This role is responsible for gathering business requirements and owning end-to-end UAT for initiatives focused on Agency Compensation within a life insurance environment. The Business Analyst works closely with business stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-impact solutions that directly support agency operations.

Job Description

  • Collect, analyze and document detailed business and system requirements from business stakeholders for insurance-related initiatives, with a strong focus on Agency Compensation.
  • Act as the key liaison between business users and project teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and translated into functional specifications.
  • Participate in solution design and ensure alignment with business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan, prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defining test scope, creating test scenarios and test cases, preparing test data, and managing test execution.
  • Coordinate with business users during UAT, track defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure delivered solutions comply with business rules, operational processes and regulatory requirements within the life insurance domain.
  • Provide post-implementation support, including user training, user documentation and production issue handling.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide clear status updates and recommendations to stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, preferably within life insurance.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Agency Compensation is mandatory.
  • Proven hands-on experience in end-to-end UAT planning, execution and coordination.
  • Solid experience in requirements gathering, business analysis and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently with business stakeholders at different levels.
  • Fluent in Cantonese is a must; good command of English is required.
