Job Description

The Business Development Assistant will provide business development and marketing support to the lawyers across Asia (with a focus in Greater China). This is a hands-on role, which will include pitching, profile raising, internal and external communications and events. The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, excellent verbal and written communication skills (must be fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin) and the ability and flexibility to manage a large workload. The position sits within a growing and energetic firm-wide marketing team of professionals.

The Successful Applicant

Applicants should have at least two years of relevant experience in marketing or business development, ideally within a large law firm or professional services setting. A solid foundation in business development strategies and marketing, along with basic legal knowledge, is essential.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for engaging confidently with individuals at various levels while maintaining a focus on customer service. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary, along with exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and details effectively. The ideal candidate should demonstrate both critical and creative thinking skills, presenting ideas clearly to diverse audiences. A proactive, flexible team player is desired, with an emphasis on customer service and cultural sensitivity. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.

The qualified candidate should have obtained a Bachelor's degree in relevant subjects such as business, law, communications, etc.
