About Our Client

My client is a prestigious and well-known company. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their Human Resources team as a Payroll Assistant Manager.

As the Payroll Assistant Manager, you will be a vital part of their HR team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. You will oversee payroll procedures, manage a team of payroll administrators, and implement payroll-related policies and procedures. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll processes and regulations.

Job Description

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations, and verification, to ensure accurate and timely payment to employees while reviewing and reconciling payroll data to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with tax laws and labor regulations by staying updated on the latest requirements, accurately processing payroll transactions, and maintaining meticulous records to support audits and legal obligations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive payroll policies and procedures, tailored to the specific needs of the organization. Regularly review and update these policies to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and maintain accuracy.
  • Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related transactions, collaborating with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Analyze and report on payroll-related data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations to management based on payroll analytics to enhance overall payroll processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Well-versed with HK Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations, and other HR-related legislation;
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
