About Our Client

Our client is a MNC retail sourcing company with branches all over the APAC region. Currently they are looking for an Assistant Manager in Finance to join their experienced finance team for the business expansion.

Job Description

  • Manage month-end closing processes and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Leading a small team of 2-3 individuals in day-to-day operations, guiding them through new requirements and process changes.
  • Oversee the HK GL team for financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, coordinating statutory audits, tax compliance, and supporting forecasting activities.
  • Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations, facilitating auditor interactions for statutory financial statement preparation.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Handle regular tax filings, transfer pricing documentation, and other tax compliance matters with local and foreign authorities.
  • Develop and implement finance policies and accounting treatments in alignment with headquarter directives and local GAAP principles on a regional scale.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting operating expenses, and conducting variance analyses against actuals.

The Successful Applicant

  • Holder of a degree in Accounting with HKICPA or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in statutory and management reporting, with a preference for MNC and Big 4 exposure.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities across diverse legal structures, ideally with regional exposure in APAC.
  • Strong understanding of US and HK GAAP.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, with proficiency in spoken Mandarin.
