Job Description

  • Oversee full SDLC activities, covering enhancements, upgrades, and new feature delivery
  • Drive requirements discussions with business users and translate needs into clear documentation
  • Analyse solutions and produce system design options with feasibility insights
  • Coordinate development tasks, micro‑design work, and manage delivery timelines
  • Communicate with client IT teams to ensure smooth system integration and rollout
  • Support end‑to‑end testing, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure stable production deployment
  • Provide ongoing application maintenance and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for knowledge sharing and reuse
  • Assist in change management to ensure smooth implementation for both client and development teams

The Successful Applicant

  • Skilled in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JSP, NodeJS or .NET
  • Hands-on with HTML/JS/CSS, responsive UI, and modern frontend frameworks (React/React Native a plus)
  • Familiar with Tomcat, WebSphere, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of Azure, containers, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS
  • Experience working with SOAP and RESTful APIs
  • Strong SQL experience across databases such as Informix, DB2, Oracle
  • Agile project experience is highly preferred
  • Background in insurance or public-facing web applications advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Cantonese-speaking with English reading/writing ability preferred
