Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure RESTful and microservices-based APIs.
  • Collaborate with architects, backend engineers, and product teams to define API specifications and integration patterns.
  • Build reusable API components and middleware to support cross-platform applications.
  • Integrate internal and external systems using modern API standards and best practices.
  • Optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability through monitoring and tuning.
  • Implement API governance, documentation, and version control standards across teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the API lifecycle, including development, deployment, and production stages.
  • Ensure API security through authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery and DevOps processes.
  • Support the rollout of new digital products by providing API integration guidance to internal stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor degree in IT, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Over 3 years of full lifecycle experience in the analysis, design documentation, and promotion of ESB solutions, including the use of SOA solutions (with emphasis on Mule).
  • Mule ESB experience as a Developer with strong expertise in REST and SOAP web services, RAML in Mule, and various Mule connectors.
  • Experience in developing Mule flows in Anypoint Studio, with familiarity working with MuleSoft components, workflows, patterns, and configuration.
  • Proficiency in Java 8+ with in-depth troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Dynatrace for problem isolation and performance monitoring.
  • Very good understanding of message sources, processors, properties, transformers, filters, flows, routers, services, and their usage.
  • Strong knowledge of the Insurance Domain.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL SOAP, RESTful).
  • Exposure to payments and payment staging APIs.
  • Good understanding of Cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL (SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Technical expertise in designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging applications.
  • Experience in designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant applications on cloud platforms.
