About Our Client

Our client is a MNC chemical company with 30 years history. With APAC headquarter located in Hong Kong, and manufacturing plants around the APAC, they provide supply to major energy companies in the field. Currently they are looking for Accountant to join their experienced finance team for the business expansion.

Job Description

  • Be responsible for the monthly consolidation and regional financial reporting to be submitted to headquarter
  • Maintain full sets of books and records at the company level.
  • Provide all accounting data and relevant information for the preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual management accounts.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and associated reporting requirements. Acts as the main contact for liaison with external auditors.
  • Review the sub-modules, such as AR and AP during the month end closing process.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and business analysis as required.
  • Handle the lease accounting under IFRS16
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance matters including company secretarial work
  • Review balance sheet and bank reconciliations. Handle inquiries from different stakeholders including headquarter.
  • Prepare accounts receivable and credit reports.
  • Handle inventory and swap inventory accounting.
  • Handle tax review and planning with high level support from the Supervisor, Financial
  • Summarize the KPI of the finance team and prepare a dashboard for Quality Management Team

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in accounting, finance and related discipline.
  • Recognised professional accounting qualification
  • Strong languages proficiency in English and Chinese
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience preferably in MNC with import/export activities in Asia, especially in SEA region.
  • Good knowledge in IFRS financial accounting and consolidation
  • Familiar in ERP system (Oracle), FCCS and SmartView is a plus
